Las Vegas Live Music in May
The Barbershop offers a Las Vegas bar experience unlike any other.
To start, the establishment is inspired by the speakeasies of the early 1900s–complete with a hidden entrance! Once you come in, you’re welcomed by beautiful retro barbershop decor. Yep: in addition to being a bar, we’re also a functioning barbershop, featuring some of the area’s very best stylists!
It’s tempting to think it couldn’t get any better than a bustling bar where you can get a trim and get a cocktail or beer at the same time. But at The Barbershop, there’s even more to offer! We’re excited to ring in the new month with an all-new roster of entertainment for May. Read on to find out what’s coming up, and stay updated via our Events page!
Thursday, May 2: Live Music with Justin Carder
Born into a musical family in Little Rock, Justin Carder was seemingly fated to become a singer-songwriter, with access to drums, keys, and guitars by the age of four.
By 16 he was on the road, and he’s been performing ever since, sometimes as a frontman, other times as a band member, and also as a solo act.
He’s shared the stage with an eclectic and impressive list of performers including Evanescence, The Cult, Rascal Flatts, OK GO, Seether, Love and Theft, Brett Young, Blue October, Sponge, and Seven Mary Three–just to name a few.
With ride-ranging influences, Justin has developed a sound that is all his own. His latest single was featured in Season 3 of the hit Netflix Original Series “The Ranch”, and he’s a frequent performer in the top spots in Vegas. Join us in welcoming him at The Barbershop!
Friday, May 3: Live Music with Shawn Eiferman
Originally from Bellingham, Washington, Shawn’s musical journey began early: he started playing guitar at the age of nine!
Eventually he relocated from damp Washington to sunny Las Vegas, where he currently resides. He’s played in all sorts of venues, and has developed his chops as a true entertainer.
You can expect singing, jokes, and general conviviality at his unique shows. Musically, he features all manner of musical influences in the playlist: his work has been likened to everyone from Dave Matthews to Tonic to Hootie and the Blowfish…and even Bruce Springsteen! You won’t want to miss his upcoming set at The Barbershop!

Thursday, May 9: Live Music with Cory Edward Brown
Cory Edward Brown was raised in a very different world than Las Vegas. Originally hailing from rural Manitoba, he got an early start with music, and was performing as early as age eight. Yup…that Dennis Quaid. Surprise: he’s not just a talented actor, he’s an incredible musician!
It all went down one night when Dennis Quaid went to see another actor, Harry Dean Stanton, perform with his band in LA. He was invited to join the band on stage, and after an initial reluctance decided to give it a go. It was such a success that one of the band members reached out to him about starting another band!
Since then, the talented group has played a variety of different venues. Expect a great mix of original tunes mixed with classic covers!

Friday, May 17: Live Music with Ryan Whyte Maloney
Raised in Traverse City, Michigan, Ryan Whyte Maloney grew up on a mix of rock n roll and country and a deep love of music in general.

In 2014, he was featured on The Voice, attaining a coveted Team Blake Top 5 status. Propelled into the public eye, he would go on to record several singles from the show, thus increasing his reach even more.
